Wildstone has secured rights to seven billboard locations at Sydney Olympic Park and announced plans to convert the existing static portfolio to digital. The company says it will invest more than A$4 million in the upgrades, with Alliance Outdoor Media Group confirmed as operator.
What has been announced
Wildstone’s 23 September announcement describes improvements to positioning and visibility, including relocation of several structures. The contract for the existing portfolio begins on 1 October 2026.
Invidis reported the plans on 25 September, noting that no completion timetable was provided for the digital conversions. The contract start should therefore not be treated as a confirmed digital launch date.
Site position matters as much as the conversion
BillboardGuide’s analysis: Replacing a static face with a screen changes the creative and scheduling options. Repositioning the structure can change the audience opportunity itself. Buyers should assess both parts of the proposal rather than assuming that a familiar location will retain the same viewing conditions after redevelopment.
For a roadside unit, request the final location, orientation, principal approach and expected viewing distance. A photograph of the current static board can explain the starting point, but it cannot establish the sightline of a relocated digital installation.

Event audiences and everyday journeys need separate planning
A precinct campaign can have different objectives on event days and during ordinary weeks. A brand seeking visibility around a particular event needs to establish that its dates, units and operating conditions match that moment. A local business seeking repeated exposure needs evidence about the journeys covered across its full campaign period.
Those are planning scenarios, not audience findings from this announcement. Event attendance, general precinct activity and campaign impressions should be evaluated separately.
Ask for the methodology behind any audience estimate and whether it reflects the specific campaign dates. A long-term development plan should not be substituted for current exposure evidence.
What buyers need before reserving digital inventory
The next useful information will be the installed unit list, technical specifications, commissioning schedule and commercial terms. Confirm which assets are bookable for the requested period and what happens if installation or approval takes longer than expected.
A digital proposal should state the spot length, loop structure, share of voice, operating hours and reporting arrangements. Artwork should be produced to the operator’s current specifications once they are available.

The announced investment is a meaningful infrastructure development. For advertisers, the booking decision should follow confirmed delivery conditions for the completed inventory.
