Statements Media has announced large-format digital video walls in Toronto’s Green P parking facilities. Its 21 September release identifies coverage in Yorkville, the Financial District, Yonge and Eglinton, St. Lawrence Market and Sankofa Square, adding a digital layer to its parking advertising offer.
What the launch includes
According to the company’s Business Wire announcement, the LED displays occupy more than 30 square feet each and sit near garage entrances and exits. The release identifies dayparting and dynamic creative among their capabilities.
The expanded offer exceeds 160 advertising faces across multiple formats, including static units. That total should not be read as the number of new digital screens. The release does not specify a digital screen count or provide a complete garage-by-garage inventory list.
Why the garage location matters
BillboardGuide’s analysis: A parking placement should be evaluated through the journey around it. An entrance-facing screen may reach people arriving by car; another position may be more useful for pedestrians leaving the facility. Those viewing situations require different creative and different expectations about attention.
A neighbourhood label is only the beginning of a buying decision. Advertisers need to know where the screen sits within the garage, which direction it faces and whether their intended audience passes it. A unit associated with a retail district does not automatically deliver the same exposure as a street-facing billboard in that district.
Our parking garage advertising guide provides a framework for comparing this environment, including buying questions, creative requirements and verification.
Digital flexibility needs a clear creative purpose
A local restaurant could consider different lunch and evening messages, while an entertainment advertiser could adapt creative around an event schedule. These are potential applications of flexible digital inventory, rather than campaigns reported in this launch.
The practical question is whether each variation makes the message more useful. Adding more versions can increase production and approval work without improving comprehension. Start with a short proposition, then check how the design reads from the actual approach angle and viewing distance.
BillboardGuide’s creative checklist can support that review. Advertising should also remain clearly distinguishable from parking instructions and directional signage.
What buyers should request before booking
Ask for the current unit list, placement photographs, technical specifications, available dates and the delivery model. A proposal should identify spot length, loop structure, share of voice, creative change deadlines and reporting arrangements.
Measurement needs the same precision. Plays, estimated impressions and business outcomes answer different questions. Garage activity alone does not establish how many people saw a particular advertisement. Agree on the audience methodology and proof-of-play requirements before the campaign begins.
